Driving Methods of Injection Mould Processing

The driving and driving forces (pressing force, clamping force of injection mould, drop weight of the material, extrusion force, etc.) of the injection mould processing movement are provided by the power transmission mechanism of forming machine tool and equipment.
  1. Electromechanical drive
    Such as, presses, friction presses, roll forging machines, etc., the power and rotational movement are all provided by the electric motor to drive the transmission mechanism, and are connected by sliders and other moving parts of mould to drive the directional movement of the mould, and transfer the driving force to acts on the mould to do injection moud processing on raw material.

  2. Electro-hydraulic drive
    Electro-hydraulic drive is that the hydraulic pressure is generated by injection moulding motor-driven hydraulic pump or water pump. And through the transportation and control system of hydraulic pressure of liquid, the hydraulic cylinder or piston that connecte to moving part of  injection mould (such as moving mould) is driven by the produced rated pressure, which drive the moving mould to move in a directional and translational movement relative to the fixed mould. And then further compressing the material, so that the material becomes injection moulded parts after forming processing.

  3. Air pressure forming
    Air pressure forming mainly used in absorb and blow moulding processing.
    Absorb processing is that when the mouldBlow Moulding is in a fixed state, the air pump make it generates a certain negative pressure to make plastic sheet directly sucked and pasted on the mould surface and then to form the moulded parts.And the blow moulding is that to produce a gas with a certain gas pressure through the gas pump, and blows into the hollow cavity of having the hot melt plastic or hot melt glass, to make it expand, deform, and adhere to the surface of the mould cavity to form moulded part.
In addition, the driving of injection mould processing, such as aluminum alloy profiles, plastic profiles, sheets, or films, generally use extrusion moulding process. The mould is fixed on the head of machine, the material passes through the mould in the form of extrusion, and relative movements act on the mould to produce a various of moulded parts. For example, the plastic profile do spiraling movement relies on the screw of the continuous extrusion machine. The plastic is extruded into the mould and passed through the profile of the mould, and the shaping material is cooled and shaped. Extruded profiles are pulled forward by the traction mechanism for continuous forming machining.
