Plastic Mould

Plastic moulds are tools in the plastics processing industry that are used in conjunction with plastic moulding machines to give plastic products a complete configuration and precise dimensions. Because of the variety of plastics and processing methods, the structure of plastic moulding machines and plastic products is not simple, so the types and structures of plastic moulds are also varied. According to the different plastic moulding methods, it can be divided into the following six different types of moulds.

Injection mould
Injection moulds are mainly used in the production of thermoplastic plastic parts. The corresponding processing equipment for plastic injection moulds is a plastic injection moulding machine. Injection mouldPlastics are heated and melted in the heating barrel at the bottom of the injection moulding machine, and then they are screwed in the injection moulding machine or push the plunger, the injection system of the injection moulding machine nozzle and mould into the mould cavity, the plastic cooling hardened, demoulded products. The injection moulding processing method is generally only applicable to the production of hot plastic products. The plastic products produced by the injection moulding process are very extensive. From the daily necessities of life to all kinds of complicated machinery, electrical appliances, auto parts, etc. It is the most widely used processing method in the production of plastic products.

Blister mould
The blister mould is a kind of mould that uses plastic plates and sheets as raw materials to form some simple plastic products. The principle is to use plastic vacuum plate inflating Blister mouldmethod or compressed air moulding method to fix the plastic plate fixed on the concave mould or the convex mould. The sheet is deformed under heating and softening and attached to the cavity of the mould to obtain a desired moulded product, which is mainly used for the production of some daily necessities, foods, toys and packaging products. Because the pressure of the blister mould is low during moulding, the mould material is usually made of cast aluminum or non-metal materials, and the structure is relatively simple.

Blow mould
Blow moulds are used to mould plastic containers for hollow products (such as beverage bottles, daily chemical products and other packaging containers). According to the principle of the process, there are extrusion blow moulding, injection blow moulding, injection extension blow moulding (commonly known as pull blow), multilayer blow moulding and sheet blow moulding.
Blow mould
The Equipment corresponding to the blow moulding of the hollow products is usually called a plastic blow moulding machine, and the blow moulding is only applicable to the production of the hot plastic variety products. Blow mould structure is relatively simple, the materials used are mostly made of carbon.

High-expanded polystyrene moulding mould
The high-expansion polystyrene moulding mould is a mould for moulding various desired shapes of foam packaging materials using a material of expandable polystyrene. The principle is that the polystyrene can be steam moulded in the mould, including two types of simple manual operation mould and hydraulic machine straight-through foam mould, mainly used for the production of industrial products packaging products. The materials used to make such moulds are cast aluminum, stainless steel, and bronze.

Compression mould
Compression moulds include both compression moulding and injection moulding. They are a type of mould that is mainly used to form thermosetting plastics, and the corresponding equipment is a pressure moulding machine. Compression mould mainly consists of cavity, feeding cavity, guiding mechanism, ejecting part and heating system. Injection moulds are widely used for packaging electrical components.

Extrusion mould
Extrusion moulds are used to form a type of mould for the production of continuous shaped plastic products, also called extrusion moulding heads. Extrusion mouldThey are widely used in pipes, rods, monofilaments, plates, films, wire and cable coatings, profiles, etc. The corresponding production equipment is a plastic extruder. The principle is that the solid plastic is melted and plasticized under the conditions of heating and screw rotation and pressurization of the extruder. The cross section and the shape of the die are the same through a specific shape of the die. Its manufacturing materials mainly include carbon structural steels, alloy tools, etc. Some extrusion dies are also inlaid with diamonds and other wear-resistant materials on parts that require wear resistance. Extrusion process usually only applies to the production of thermoplastic products, its structure and the injection mould and compression mould has a clear difference.

With the increasing demand for plastic products, plastic moulds have formed a huge industrial chain, from the upstream raw and auxiliary materials industry and processing, testing equipment to the downstream machinery, automobiles, motorcycles, home appliances, electronic communications, building materials with several major application industries, the development of plastic moulds will face enormous opportunities.
